Yes and no.
Shannon does work with couples who are open to her family systems approach or who recognize that trauma is impacting their relationship in unhealthy ways. Often in working with families on parenting, marital issues are also brought to light and addressed. However, Shannon does not have specialized training in working with couples, such as Gottman Method or Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. If at any point, family therapy is not meeting your needs and specialized couples work is called for, Shannon can assist in finding a great couples specialist to collaborate in your treatment.

Life happens! When you are unable to make it and call me with less than 24 hours notice of your appointment, the credit card on file will be charged $75. Fees are not covered by insurance. I am happy to waive this fee the first time it happens. Additional waivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you have not checked in and you have not called or sent a message by 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment, this counts as a "no-show" and will be charged $150.00 using the credit card on file. There are no waivers for no-shows. Please also note that all future recurring appointments will be cancelled immediately upon no-showing to your appointment. Clients are encouraged to call and confirm their intentions to continue therapy as soon as possible to avoid losing their preferred appointment times.
If you check in after the 15-minute grace period, you are welcome to utilize the rest of your scheduled time. Out of respect for other clients, I am unable to extend our session beyond the originally scheduled appointment time.
