Frequently Asked Questions

Payments

Payment is due at the time of session. All clients are encouraged to keep a credit card on file in the Carepatron portal for payment of invoices at the time of session. If a payment method is not saved in Carepatron, a payment link and invoice will be provided via email. Payment is due upon receipt. All major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards accepted via Stripe. Alternatively, clients can request to send cash payments via PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. Account balances must be paid in full in order to schedule further appointments.

Availability

Currently, I see MyTherapistShannon.com clients on Fridays, in-person or online, and Saturdays, online only.

Book Online

All new and existing clients will have an account in my patient portal Carepatron. Within the app, new clients can book their free consultations any available time on Fridays. Existing clients will see options for standard and extended appointments they can book in any available time slot. Appointments outside of Fridays and Saturdays can be booked by texting me at 904.513.0379 on a case-by-case basis.

Late cancellation

Life happens! When you are unable to make it and call me with less than 24 hours notice of your appointment, the credit card on file will be charged 50% of your scheduled session fee. (A typical 55-minute session cancellation fee is $75, for example) I am happy to waive this fee the first time it happens. Additional waivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

No-shows

If you have not checked in and you have not called or sent a message by 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment, this counts as a "no-show" and will be charged the full fee using the credit card on file. There are no waivers for no-shows. Please also note that all future recurring appointments will be cancelled immediately upon no-showing to your appointment. Clients are encouraged to call and confirm their intentions to continue therapy as soon as possible to avoid losing their preferred appointment times.

If you check in after the 15-minute grace period, you are welcome to utilize the rest of your scheduled time. Out of respect for other clients, I am unable to extend our session beyond the originally scheduled appointment time.
